Whether the name Castaways makes you think of Gilligan’s Island or Tom Hanks might say as much about your age as it does your movie watching habits. Either way, you’ll find a comfortable seat in this ocean view bar and restaurant.

Just across the street from the ocean at Holden Beach, Castaways Raw Bar & Grill has a large screened-in dining room, open dining porches and a air-conditioned dining room.

Truly a place to “Get Lost” and let the vacation begin. Enjoy a cold concoction or an ice cold draft from their bar while staring at the ocean. Contemplate an order from the Raw Bar. This is open air dining on the southern coast of North Carolina that should not be missed!  Enjoy live entertainment nightly from mid-June to mid-August.

Castaways is loaded with large screen TVs so as not to miss any sporting event. They also boast the only raw bar featuring oysters on the half shell, and they are one of the few places you can get steamed crab legs, oysters, clams, mussels, and crawfish –  and shrimp by the pound or half pound. Their menu ranges from Bubba’s Oyster Stew to Shrimp & Grits to Salad and Seafood Wraps.

In the evening enjoy live entertainment or watch a game on one of the big screen TVs. If you need to go online, bring your computer. Castaways has free wi-fi.
